Or they should at least have equal standing. It’s easy to get caught up
in the world of strategy, rather than rapidly implementing, learning
and improving. Good strategy directly combined with smart tactical
implementation is our ultimate goal.

All marketers are under intense pressure. At Cunning we believe the
work we do that is most valuable to our clients derives from open,
confident relationships. There should be no fear in addressing the
consumer. Nor in our business relationships with our clients.
Tight briefs are best.
Experience has shown us the
strongest creative solution is derived from a clear, single-minded
proposition. Sometimes this proposition is handed to us and sometimes
it needs to be developed. Either way, we are single-minded, rigorously
examining each and every brief.
Respect is due.
Respect between client and agency is paramount. Cunning embraces
collaborative working. We are open and ready to learn from our
customers, suppliers and other contacts. We work best with open-minded
clients who recognize the value of what we do and are prepared to
contribute to how we do it.
How we charge.
All clients are different and all
projects are different. As a result we’ve had to make our remuneration
model flexible, transparent and tailored to the job in hand.
What we do expect is an upfront discussion which allows us to
ensure that all our financial relationships are open and honest from
the outset.
Ideas are what we make and we expect to be paid for both their conception and activation.
And where appropriate be rewarded for their success.
Since 2004 Cunning has supported a renewable energy programme in
Sri Lanka through the Carbon Neutral Company. We’re also doing our bit
to reduce our carbon emissions.

It’s one thing to offset but most importantly we believe in carbon
reduction best practice. So as well as creating ideas that get talked
about, we’re also doing our bit for the environment.
We use bleach-free paper towels. Gino Skateboards to work. Jess cycles.
Ollie always switches the toilet lights off, John G insists on
renewable energy sourced electricity and walking or using public
transport to get to meetings is encouraged company wide. Just basic
stuff really.
We monitor our emissions through the Carbon Neutral Company and set annual targets for reduction.
We also offer Carbon Neutral communication programmes.
